San Salvatore is a productive ecosystem rooted in Cilento, where agriculture, livestock farming, processing, hospitality and dining coexist within a single integrated system. As its activities expanded over time, San Salvatore evolved into a multi-layered system made up of several units, each serving different functions, audiences and contexts.

The brand faced the kind of complexity typical of vertically integrated businesses: a strong cultural identity, but a structure that was hard to read from the outside. Its various activities shared similar visual assets, with no clear hierarchy between levels of communication, creating semantic overlap and weakening the brand’s ability to express itself consistently across different market contexts.

We redefined the San Salvatore masterbrand as the cultural and productive core of the system, creating a relationship in which it gives value to its different units while also drawing strength from them. It is a circular model in which every entity contributes to the strength and recognisability of the whole system.
The structure sets apart the brand’s main operational areas:
Tenute, tied to wine production and the region’s agricultural life
Dispensa e Cucina, tied to the culinary experience and hospitality
Latteria, dedicated to processing buffalo milk and developing products aimed also at large-scale retail.
Within this system, Latteria San Salvatore plays a specific strategic role. Unlike the other units, which are firmly rooted in place and direct experience, the dairy operates in a competitive market driven by on-shelf visibility, information clarity and industrial scalability. The project called for an identity that remained consistent with the masterbrand while introducing a more systematic visual language, helping customers navigate the range, distinguish products and read information more easily.
The visual system is built on a rigorous typographic grammar and a modular structure that organises information, variants and product lines clearly and consistently. Colour serves as a navigational cue, making individual products easy to identify and helping build a legible, coherent range.

At the same time, the masterbrand reinforces its role as a cultural platform, keeping a more narrative, place-rooted quality in the units tied to first-hand experience of the location. The result is a system that brings together farming and distribution, local experience and contemporary growth, cultural depth and operational clarity.
San Salvatore evolves from a complex, multi-faceted farming business into a structured brand system, one that can grow while staying consistent and recognisable. It is a design framework built to support the brand’s future expansion, keeping the relationship between origin, production and distribution clear.
